Legends tell of the King of Dragons, Aurum Draconis, creating the world from magical fire, a home for his dragon kin. They speak of these ancient lands, rich in resources, marvellous treasures and great power sealed within its depths by the mighty dragon.
One thousand years ago, the great Queen Illustria IV marched to battle with the ancient creatures, conquering and building her kingdom on this hallowed (some say unholy) ground. The dragons, weakened by their defeat, fled to safety in faraway lands.
The queen spent many years studying the nearby mountains, fueled by murmurs of ancient locked passages deep within the ground and the powers they contained.
This distracted the queen from her loyal subjects' struggles, her obsession causing her people to suffer through toil and hunger. This tyranny led to her assassination from the very people she thought were hers. The unjust abuses through her lust for power resulted in her downfall rather than the power she sought.
Now, with its newfound freedom, The Township of Dragon Haven, built on the abundant resources of this land, became a strong and bustling city. With this new age of prosperity, the ancient whispers of old legends became lost in the depths of time.
Strange occurrences and sightings have sparked the return of these ancient stories of dragons and magic.
Blissfully unaware of the legends awakening, little do the people of Dragon Haven know that their lives will be changed forever.
Heroes will be forged, villains will rise and riches will be claimed.

1. Funding your wallet
- You will need a wallet to interact with our ecosystem and web3 application!
- Metamask is the gold standard wallet, great compatibility, easy to set-up and FREE!
- Wallets hold tokens such as $AVAX, the main token of the Avalanche Blockchain. Click here for a tutorial on setting up Metamask, buying $AVAX and purchasing our $DCAU token, if you so choose!
2. Acquiring Dragon Crypto Hero NFT
- A character NFT is needed to play The Legend of Aurum Draconis
- They are purchasable from NFTrade, NFTKey and Joepegs *During BETA a Genesis Series NFT is required to play, on full release all character NFT’s will be playable in game, be sure to check the NFT properties before buying!
- Character NFT mints are done in batches, stay tuned for new minting rounds!
- Each character NFT is unique, they have different classes and the rarer they are, the better stats they have starting out!
- Ranks are: Neophyte -> Apprentice -> Master -> Grandmaster -> Legendary

Which is the the currently version?
Beta v0.2 released in 05/18/22.
What is Beta?
Beta will be the first iteration of our game that will be released on the Avalanche Test net, after a period of testing on the testnet, it will be pushed to C-Chain. This is the format all updates/releases will follow to ensure the most reliability for our users 🙂
Who can join Beta?
Anyone with a gen0 hero
How to play?
The game is played by owning a "Hero NFT", which will be released for sale alongside the game. You will need to pay for the NFTs with DCAU, HOWEVER, they will be pegged to 100 USDT.e, so they will never cost more than 100 dollars. All NEW heroes will always be 100 dollars. But you can sell your own characters or buy others, so you can buy a high-level character if someone is selling, these prices will be set by the community and we have no control over this.
What are these "Hero NFTs"?
These NFTs are your characters to play the game. Each Hero NFT starts off with 10 stat points you can allocate as you wish, and each level gained gives you 10 stat points to allocate as you wish. NOTE: Rarer characters get higher base allocation.
What are the game mechanics?
The game itself will involve combat, crafting and quests. You will have a particular number of turns per day which regenerate slowly, or you can pay a fee to instantly regenerate all your turns and your health. All the items in the game will be NFTs that you can sell or buy in the marketplace.
You gain exp by fighting, mining, crafting, and completing quests. So, your character can be a peaceful crafter, a violent warrior or anything in between.
How does the combat work?
For combat, you can level up your attack/defense and become a barbarian style warrior, or you can put it all into magic and become a mage, or go the Rogue route, much like most RPGs you have played, your game style is down to you. At the end of combat, you will potentially receive DCAU/DCAR as rewards as well as potentially getting loot from the fallen enemy. Loot ranges from shoddy - normal - Uncommon - Rare - Legendary - Artefact - Mythical, your luck will help in finding better equipment. If you lose at combat however, your character will die and you will need to revive at the healer’s hut for a fee.

Does rarity have any impact on equipment?
Yes, not only is it much rarer to find and much better in general, but the higher rarities will come in "Sets" and will provide bonuses for each extra part of the set you have. Each will be color coded and have stats appropriate to their rarity.
How does the crafting work?
For crafting, you can use the mines and the forest to look for various crafting materials (cloth, iron, coal, wood etc.), the amount and rarity of what you get is dictated by your gathering skill. You can also reclaim materials by recycling equipment you currently own, the number of materials you get is dictated by your gathering AND crafting skill. Your crafting skill affects the final quality of what you make and also the type of equipment you can make, better equipment requires higher stats. You will gain experience for these actions, meaning you can entirely avoid combat if you so wish 🙂
How do in game items work? What are they?
All items in the game, weaponry/armour, and crafting materials, are NFTs that will be in your wallet until you wear them out, recycle them or sell them in the marketplace.
What is the marketplace?
The marketplace is an in-game feature that is completely player driven, everything for sale is being sold by other players, as such, the community is what sets the price for items on the marketplace 🙂 We have no control over this.
How does the marketplace work?
In the marketplace, all fees for weaponry/armour etc. will be in DCAU. While all crafting materials and everything associated with crafting will be payable in DCAR, our upcoming token 🙂
Do you have quests?
Yes, we do indeed have quests! For quests, you will receive these while performing other duties, and these can reward you with juicy loot, DCAU/DCAR and also exp, making them worthwhile to perform.
What are the mechanics around in game fees?
Everything you spend while in game (Healer’s hut, crafting, inn, marketplace fee etc.) will nearly all go back into the game. Some of the fees will be burned, some will make its way back to the reward wallet. The main exception to this is the Marketplace, of the 5% fee, 1% goes to our Dragon Nest holders, a limited edition NFT that have all been sold out, keep your eye on NFTrade if you want to buy one. This applies to both DCAU and DCAR.
What if your token becomes super expensive? Can I still get involved?
Everything you spend money on will be pegged to USDT.e, so regardless of price action, the game will never become too expensive to play, which is important to us. (Marketplace is exempt from this as we do not control prices here)
